Planet Ecrom is also known as a place of exile and banishment. Seen from space, Ecrom has an orange hue due to the vast deserts of red and yellow sand that cover its surface, making it uniquely distinct.
  Ecrom houses several prisons where "banished" and "condemned" individuals are sent. Almost no one survives such a sentence, as escape attempts are punished by death. However, escape is rare because Ecrom is far from hospitable. Beyond the prison walls, there are far greater dangers, including the scorching desert heat, venomous creatures, mutant beasts, prehistoric monsters, cannibals, and other horrors beyond imagination.
  Despite these dangers, many scientists from the planet Zur venture to Ecrom in search of rare minerals and to conduct scientific and biological research aimed at developing antidotes for various diseases.
